Zenit announced the signing of Claudinho after his Olympic gold medal

A target for clubs such as RB Leipzig and Roma, the future of the young Brazilian talent Claudinho lies in Russia. In particular, the city of St. Petersburg is already waiting with open arms for the player's arrival.

Zenit, one of the most powerful and successful teams in Russian football, announced an agreement for the signing of the player, who joins the club from Red Bull Bragantino.

The news was released by the St. Petersburg team a few hours after Claudinho was crowned Olympic champion with the Brazilian national team after beating Spain 2-1 in the final.

Zenit explained in a statement that they have reached full agreement with his current club, the player and his agents, and that Claudinho will join the club in the coming weeks after passing his medical and signing his contract.

At 24 years of age, the talented Brazilian has been one of the most outstanding players in his country over the last few years. With Red Bull Bragantino, Claudinho made a total of 127 appearances. In those games, the Brazilian scored 33 goals and provided 23 assists.
