According to the information published by Fabrizio Romano, Wolverhampton's midfielder Matheus Nunes is set to sign for Manchester City soon.
The player has reached a verbal agreement with the club and all that remains is for Wolves and Sky Blues to reach an agreement and close the transfer. The deal has been closed for around 55 million euros according to 'The Athletic', although the agreement still needs to be formalized.
"After the bid from Manchester City he decided it was best for him to not to be with the group," said Wolves' coach Gary O'Neil said a few days ago.
Matheus Nunes joined Wolves last summer and he has made 41 official appearances at the Molineux club. Both clubs have negotiated for another player, Tommy Doyle. Wolves have agreed to sign City's England Under-21 international Tommy Doyle, the footballer is valued at 15 million and will join the club on loan with a buy option on £5m deal plus 50% sell on clause as Fabrizio Romano has reported.
