The newly promoted Premier League club is making waves in this summer's transfer market as they look to build a squad capable of keeping their position in England's top flight.
'Sky Sports' has reported that Cardiff will pay £10million for Bristol City's Bobby Reid and £4m for Queens Park Ranger's Alex Smithies.
The two signings would bolster Cardiff's attacking and goalkeeping options going into the new campaign.
Smithies would provide competition to starting shotstopper Neil Etheridge while Reid's 21 goals last season will be welcomed up front.
