After the sale of Diego Carlos and Jules Kounde, Sevilla became seriously interested in Badiashile, a player who plays in Ligue 1 and who is increasingly on the lips of more and more clubs in Europe.
Speaking to 'AS', the Monaco player spoke about his almost arrival at Sevilla and said that he knows "how to be patient" to get what he needs most for his career to progress.
"Being humble and respectful doesn't mean not being ambitious. I'm at a big club, I'm playing and I don't want to go faster. If things have to be done to go to the World Cup, they will be done," said the young French centre-back.
"There is no need to put pressure on yourself with a transfer. If I had left earlier, would I have been able to work as well in the last few months?" said Badiashile, who has made a good start to the season.
Sevilla finally signed Nianzou and Marcao, a Brazilian defender from Galatasaray. At the moment, the backline is the main problem for Lopetegui, but who knows if they won't go for Badiashile again in the future?
