Wayne Rooney could be back to managing in England after his spell at Derby County. The ex-Manchester United striker is in the USA coaching DC United, but he is thought to be weighing up an offer to return to his birth country.
According to 'The Sun', the American club's coach is thinking about the offer Southampton made him to take charge of the squad. As well as the ex-English goal-scorer, Jesse Marsch and Steven Gerrard have also been put in the hat to replace the sacked Nathan Jones.
To accept the offer, Rooney has supposedly demanded that several of his team can come too. Ravel Morrison and Christian Benteke, both DC United players, are those who have been requested.
The ex-England international will want to make the most of his connection with the Red Devils to strengthen more ahead of next season. For that though, he'd have to wait for this season to be over, as a lot of the players under Ten Hag's orders will no longer be in August.
