Real Madrid to face Barcelona in Copa del Rey semi-finals

Real Madrid and Barcelona already know their opponents for the decisive semi-final tie of the Copa del Rey 2022-23. And as fate would have it, Carlo Ancelotti's side and Xavi Hernandez's side will meet once again this season.

After the great final of the Spanish Super Cup, in which the Catalans won the trophy, in the Copa del Rey semi-finals we can also enjoy an exciting 'Clasico', the most followed match by football lovers all over the world.

On that occasion, in Saudi Arabia, Barcelona overcame a Madrid side that vanished from the pitch. The 'Cules' took a 3-0 lead thanks to goals from Gavi, Lewandowski and Pedri. Only Karim Benzema's goal in the 93rd minute was able to make up for the image offered by the Madrid side, who ended up losing 1-3. 

Following the draw held in the Luis Aragones Hall at the Ciudad del Futbol in Las Rozas, fortune has decided that the 'Merengues' will be paired with the 'Cules' for a semi-final in which the classic two-legged ties return. The first leg will be played at the Santiago Bernabéu and the second leg at the Camp Nou.
