It's now official. Leo Messi will not be able to play in the match against Metz. PSG have announced via their official channels that the Argentinian striker has suffered bruising to his bone and he is out of the squad.
PSG published on their official channels the squad list for the matchday seven Ligue 1 game and Messi's name does not appear in Mauricio Pochettino's list.
The French outfit reported on their official web page that Messi has had an MRI scan which has confirmed that he has suffering bruising to his bone in his left knee during the last game against Lyon.
In addition, the Parisians have reported that the former Barcelona player will have tests in the next 48 hours to determine and control the state of his injury.
In just 24 hours, PSG say that the Argentine had "signs of bone bruising", but this latest MRI scan has confirmed the extent of his injury: "After the blow he received to his left knee, Messi has had an MRI scan which confirms the signs of bone bruising. Another test will be carried out in the next 48 hours."
As well as Messi's absence, Ramos being out is the main man out and Marco Verratti, who has started to train to return to action as soon as possible is also out."
