Marten de Roon is the third summer signing of Middlesbrough. The dutch midfileder leaves Atalanta for his new club and signed until June 2020. The estimated fee is around €14 million.
The 25-year-old started with Sparta before he left for Heerenveen in 2012. After three years in Friesland he changed to Atalanta where he became an important player. This year he was voted the Player of the Year of Atlanta Bergamo.
Beside De Roon, Middlesbrough's recruited also Bernardo Espinosa and Viktor Fisher.
