Arne Slot is Liverpool's new manager for next season. Within 10 days of his dismissal, his move to Feyenoord was announced, so this is not the first time he has broken with a club to which he was committed, although, on this occasion, the arrangement has been made on good terms between all parties. He had been renewed at the end of May last year in a sort of reward for his domestic championship win, so it was inevitable that De Kuip's coffers would be compensated.
