Jadon Sancho has been sidelined for almost a month because of his bad relationship with Ten Hag. Things, far from improving, continue to stagnate at Old Trafford.. The player is no longer even allowed to enter the first team facilities. Ahead of the Brentford clash, the United manager was asked about the situation and declined to go into the subject. "I'm sorry, but nothing has changed... He's not available so he's not part of the squad. I won't comment on that," he said.
The tension is palpable in the air and Sancho has not played a game for the Red Devils since the Manchester United-Nottingham Forest game at the end of August, when he came on in the 60th minute and ended in a 3-2 win for his side. A month and a half later, the winger is completely out of touch with his team-mates.
According to 'Express', Ten Hag does not intend to forgive the player until he apologises to him, something that has so far not happened for his pre-Brentford remarks. On another subject, the coach referred to the crisis the team is going through. "It gives me strength to turn the situation around. The fans are behind us and we feel it. I'm sure my players will be strong mentally," he commented.
"We know we are in a time of transition as a club, but in the meantime, we have to win every game. The squad, the coach, my staff... all together. We can't walk away from that, not the team, not the coaches, not anyone. Definitely not," he concluded.
