Newcastle are still planning for next season to build a team that can do more than just fight to stay in the Premier League. For this reason, Benoît Badiashile is on the list of possible signings for the summer transfer window, according to 'Foot Mercato'. In fact, it is not the first time.
At 21 years of age, Badiashile has become a key player in Monaco's defensive line, which is why they will not let him go so easily. In 2021, he was one of the candidates for the Golden Boy and, this season, he has made 35 appearances.
Three months ago, Newcastle wanted to negotiate with the French side to sign the player, but it was not possible. The defender is valued at around 40 million euros and has a contract with the club until 2024.
But the Saint James' Park board is not the only one to have its eye on Badiashile. Juventus have also joined the bidding for the young player. Now, both must prepare their wallets, as it is Monaco who have to listen to offers and consider whether or not to let the defender go.
