Getafe, in the middle of the process of building the squad for next season, insist on the signing of winger Jorge de Frutos from Segovia, for whom they have made a new offer to Levante, as 'EFE' has been told by sources involved in the negotiations.
De Frutos, has a contract until 2025, but the player already expressed several weeks ago to Levante that his desire is not to play in Segunda.
One of the first clubs to position themselves for his signing were Getafe, who even presented an offer to Levante which, a few days ago, Felipe Miñambres, the Valencian club's sporting director, described as "not enough".
This week the club presided over by Angel Torres have presented an offer higher than the five million that it initially offered and with which it intends to incorporate De Frutos, but for the moment the negotiation seems to have stalled.
Getafe could have time on their side as Levante close the financial year on 30th June and need to sell players to avoid ending up with a deficit for the second season in a row, especially in this last one in which relegation will have a negative effect on the club's coffers.
Last season Jorge de Frutos was one of Levante's most decisive players, although injuries hampered his performance. He had three injuries and since the last one, in his right foot last March, he has not played again.
