Ghanaian Osman Bukari claimed that his celebration imitating Portuguese man Cristiano Ronaldo was not a lack of respect to the striker, because he is his "idol".
"My goal celebration was not a lack of respect. The emotion of the moment came over me, scoring a goal for my country in the World Cup. It's my favourite celebration. He's my idol", Bukari claimed.
The Ghanaian forward scored Ghana's second goal at the end of the game, which gave chances to Otto Addo's side, and celebrated it like Crisitano Ronaldo, with the 'SIUUU' included. The African side ended up losing 3-2.
After the defeat, the African side have to beat, no questions asked, South Korea to have a chance of qualifying for the last-16. In the other game, Portugal will play against Uruguay.
