Brazilian Vinicius Junior was named Man of the Match after his dribbling show in Madrid's 2-1 late win over Bayern and showed his excitement after leading his team, admitting that he feels "lucky" to succeed away from home and in a city where "people don't normally leave".
"It's a pride to defend this team and this shirt on this pitch. This is Real Madrid, we never give up, our fans push us on and we always feel, at home, that we can", he said.
"We feel close to our families and we make a difference. We always want to win and, if I have to go down to defend to help, I'm going to do it to get through to another final, like we do every game," he added on 'Movistar+'. Vinicius thanked the Madrid fans for their affection and was moved by the moment.
"I'm lucky to be able to play every game in this shirt. It's a dream to play for Real Madrid. I've come from a place in Brazil, on another side of the world, where people don't normally leave and I'm being able to make a great story with this team, with my family close by and a fan base that loves me so much and I give everything for them," he added.
