The final game of matchday 19 saw Hearts of Oak take on WAFA in the Ghanaian Premier League. After a goalless first half, the second period started in fine fashion.
Sulley Muntari, who recently joined Hearts of Oak, helped give the home side the lead seconds into the second period. He sent a lovely pass forward from midfield to find Barnieh in the penalty box. He immediately squared to Kojo Obeng Jr, who managed to weave his way past a couple of defenders before beating the keeper from around 10 yards out.
However, WAFA needed just nine minutes to find themselves level as Derrick Antwi hit a superb free-kick to give the relegation threatened side a much needed goal with 35 minutes remaining.
In the 71st minute, Hearts of Oak were awarded a penalty kick after goalkeeper Bonsu uphended Patrick Razak and Sulley Muntari converted the spot kick.
Hearts of Oak went into this game in 8th on 26 points while WAFA are second from bottom in 17th and on 18 points.
