The schedule continues to wreak havoc on all the teams, clubs and national teams that will be playing in the World Cup in Qatar. The latest setback has come from Kylian Mbappe with Paris Saint-Germain.
The French striker left the match against Lorient before the end of the game. In his place, in the last few minutes, Pablo Sarabia came on. And what seemed like a normal change turned into a worrying one.
'RMC Sport' reported that Mbappe felt a twinge in his adductor muscles. All this with just three days to go before Didier Deschamps announces his final squad for the World Cup in Qatar.
Christophe Galtier, his coach at Paris Saint-Germain, played down the injury: "It's nothing serious. Kylian was a bit fatigued and it was better for him to leave early than to risk staying on.
"I didn't want to force him, but we have to be calm with Mbappe," reiterated Galtier, who is confident that his player will be in Deschamps' World Cup squad without any problems.
