The charges come following a spate of similar incidents at Scottish games recently, with Hibs boss Neil Lennon also being struck during his side's clash against Hearts last week.
Coins were thrown at a Dunfermline player from sections of the Falkirk fans, although none found their target and nobody was injured.
The man in question has now been charged and will appear in court on a later date.
"Throwing items on the pitch or at people is a reckless and disruptive act," said Detective Sergeant Kenny Halliday.
"We remain committed to pursuing those who attempt to cause others harm and ruin the game for the majority of responsible fans."
