Riyad Mahrez is fully confident his Manchester City side can overturn the 1-0 first-leg loss they suffered in Tuesday’s Champions League quarter-final against Tottenham.
A solitary 78th-minute goal from Son Heung-min separated the two sides in an otherwise even encounter in north London, in which Sergio Aguero missed an early penalty for the visitors.
Despite the disappointing result, Mahrez is adamant his side can still progress to the next round when the two teams meet again in Manchester next Wednesday.
"Nobody is defeated," the Algeria international told RMC. "We know that a quarter-final of the Champions League is never easy, even if we know Tottenham well. That is part of football.
"In the second half, we were better than them. They scored this goal. It does not change anything in terms of our approach for the second leg. It's nothing disastrous."
