Jota ready to leave Al-Ittihad one month after €30m move

Saudi Arabian teams are hogging all the limelight this summer window by snapping up stars of European football. Some of their biggest catches so far have been Benzema, Kante and Neymar, among others, who joined Cristiano Ronaldo in the Gulf state.

However, there is one player among the new arrivals who has the exit door wide open already. It is none other than Jota, who signed with Al Ittihad just over a month ago until 2026. The Saudi outfit paid €30 million to Scottish champions Celtic for the transfer.

This comes according to Saudi outlet 'Al-Sharq Al-Awsat' , which points out that there is "discontent among the fans and the leaders" because he is not a star in the squad. There is no further information, but his exotic adventure could come to an end very soon after it began.

Since his arrival in the Middle East, the Portuguese winger has played 6 matches, 3 as a starter, which in minutes amounts to 259. Also, the aforementioned media and other newspapers in the country point out that Al Ittihad has currently set its sights on Liverpool's Mo Salah, since the market does not close for them until September 20.
