Mateo Retegui is in the spotlight thanks to his performances for the Italian national team. The 23-year-old made his international debut in the match against England and scored a goal for his team.
Atletico Madrid are the first team to show interest in Retegui but Inter Milan are also interested in signing him.
According to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', the Italian side have reached a pre-agreement with Tigre to sign him. Inzaghi's side have offered Facundo Colidio, who is on loan at the Argentinian club, to make negotiations easier and reduce the cost of the transfer.
The same media outlet reports that Tigre could accept the deal as they do not want to lose one of their key players. The deal has not been closed yet because Tigre will have to buy 50% of Retegui's rights from Boca Juniors to complete the transfer.
