The will-they, won't-they of Lukaku and Inter seems to have finally come to an end, and on very bad terms. The 'Nerazzuri' feel they have been betrayed by the Belgian and will walk away from talks with Chelsea.
The two clubs were negotiating a price for the striker, who had had a very successful loan spell in Italy, and had previously said he only had eyes for Inter. However, Juventus entered the pitcure, attempting to hijack the deal, and appeared to have at least managed to cause Inter to walk away.
The Turin side had begun talking to Lukaku about a move, even though the Belgian had said he would never play there out of respect for Inter. However, 'Daily Mail' reports that Juve had presented an offer to Chelsea for £32 million with another £1.5 million in add-ons.
'Sky Sports' report that the Belgian was informed by Inter's sporting director, Piero Ausilio, in a 30-second phone call that he could no longer count on a place at the San Siro.
Juventus could look to sign Lukaku if they manage to sell Dusan Vlahovic, with Chelsea reportedly interested in the Serbian. Inter will be left looking for another forward and will send an official communication to the Blues shortly.
