Inter CEO on meeting with Barca: "It's normal, we have to prepare for next season"

It is an open secret. Inter must be interested in one or more FC Barcelona players, something that can be deduced from the meeting that the two sides have reportedly held recently.

A few days ago, a meeting took place between Inter's sporting director Piero Ausilio and Mateu Alemany, his counterpart at the Catalan giants. In it, according to 'Mundo Deportivo', names such as Kessie, Jordi Alba or Samuel Umtiti were mentioned by Inter and Brozovic as a player of interest to the 'Cules'.

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta was asked about the reason for the meeting and responded to the media in his last public appearance: "Piero Ausilio's job is to have contacts and make questions in order to plan the future season. It is nothing strange.

A first approach with the 'Cules' that could lead to business this summer. All of this, of course, if both parties reach an agreement.

However, Barca have some homework to do before making any moves. They have to free up salary margin to be able to afford reinforcements, so if Inter want to do business by sending a player to Camp Nou, they will have to take it easy.
