Eden Hazard continues in his daily fight against injuries. These have weighed him down since he arrived at Real Madrid. The latest, an injury in the left anterior rectus, which will leave him out until the end of February. And the return to Champions League action is against Atalanta on 24th. It is a tough ask, although his presence isn't ruled out.
To this end, the Belgian is trying to speed up his recovery process. And on Thursday, he was seen on the Valdebebas pitch doing some gentle running on the sidelines away from the group.
Hazard is still expected to take more than a week to fully join the rest of his teammates. However, his return to work will not be synonymous with making the match against Atalanta.
Zidane already has experience in this. Any attempt to force the player carries a high risk of relapse, so even if he has completed some training before the match, it will be up to the coach to decide whether to risk it or, on the other hand, to let the process progress so that he is at 100% in March and, therefore, available for the return leg.
