The situation regarding Sofyan Amrabat is set to be resolved in the final days of the transfer window. The Moroccan midfielder is still in Italy awaiting a possible transfer, and was on the bench during Serie A Matchday 1 at Genoa.
On Wednesday, the former Brugge player was not in the squad called up for the trip to Vienna in the first leg of the Conference League play-off, confirming the words of the 'Viola's' general manager Joe Barone: "The club is always ready for departures and arrivals. If someone isn't happy, we can satisfy them between now and the end of the transfer window."
Meanwhile, the 'Daily Express' has claimed that Manchester United, at Erik ten Hag's request, are pushing hard to sign Amrabat. No offer has yet been made, but the 27-year-old is one of Manchester United's two preferred choices, along with Bayern Munich's Ryan Gravenberch.
The midfielder was one of the leaders of a Morocco side that made an impressive run to the semi-finals of the Qatar 2022 World Cup. From that moment on, the Moroccan player was targeted by numerous clubs.
