Arsenal take their revenge on Manchester City after the Sky Blues snatched the 2022/23 Premier League title from their grasp. Trossard's last-gasp strike cancelled out Cole Palmer's opener and the Gunners beat the Cityzens on penalties to be crowned Community Shield champions.
Jurrien Timber, Kai Havetz and Declan Rice started despite being new signings, which proves that they are already important players in Mikel Arteta's squad.
Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne, who was asked about Arsenal's new trio in a post-match interview, also realised that the three new signings will play an important role next season.
"I think they are good players. They look at what they need and they have bought them. I think they started all three, so that means they are big signings for them.
"Everybody is looking at their own team and every team has so much money, so everybody is always spending in this league and we know that. It gets tougher every year. One way or another, we try to maintain where we are," he added.
