The Czech Football Association released the following statement: "Jarolim will start his national team job as of August 1st, he will sign a two-year contract with a two-year option".
Jarolim is currently in charge of Czech First League side Mlada Boleslav and the 59-year-old will be able to continue with his current employers until 25 August, in order to see out their Europa League play-offs.
Former Czech Republic head coach Pavel Vrba resigned after a disappointing Euro 2016 which saw them take just one point from their three group stage games.
