Manchester United's defence of the League Cup came to a limp end in a 3-0 miserable defeat by Newcastle on Wednesday. But misfortunes never come singly.
Casemiro, who has already been injured with the Brazilian national team and in a training session, is once again unavailable for the Red Devils, his coach Erik ten Hag confirmed at a press conference.
"He was injured. Just before half-time, he got an injury. That’s why we had to take him off. I can’t give an answer on that [now]. We have to wait 24 hours, but I think definitely for Saturday, he is out," he told reporters.
The Brazilian midfielder was substituted at half-time in Wednesday's match at Old Trafford. Aaron Wan-Bissaka took his place and is likely to replace him in the next Premier League encounter against Fulham on Saturday.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is not having the best of times as a coach as the problems are mounting and so is the pressure from the fans. The Dutch manager could be sacked in the next few days as the Red Devils are suffering one of their worst starts to a season.
