Milan want to reinforce their team for next season to try and continue their reign in Italy. The recent Serie A champions want to strengthen their side to continue to put pressure on their rivals and try and retain the 'Scudetto'.
One of the Rossoneri's targets is Sven Botman, a defender who plays for Lille. Fabrizio Romano has already reported about the Italian club's interest in the 22 year old from the Netherlands. However, the defender has many admirers across Europe.
Manchester United, Tottenham and Newcastle are keeping close tabs on the situation. However, the player himself spoke about the deal with Milan and said that it was on the right track: "We are working on it. It is hard for me to stay away from the rumours at the moment".
"I hear something about it almost every day. Things are moving and I hope that they will be clearer before preseason starts", he told 'ESPN'.
This season, the left footed central defender has played a total of 2488 minutes in 28 games, starting all of them. In regards to his attacking contribution, he has scored three goals and registered one assist.
