A former player could have hurt Bayern right on half-time at the Camp Nou. After Bellerin cleared off the line and Ter Stegen made a great save, Barcelona countered and got into the Bayern Munich box.
Robert Lewandowski controlled, prepared to shoot and was then fouled from behind by Matthijs de Ligt. The referee pointed to the spot and Barcelona got a penalty in the 44th minute.
The striker could have scored against his old club, but the VAR asked Anthony Taylor to review his decision on the monitor. The referee, after looking at several angles of it, decided to take away the penalty and rescind De Ligt's yellow card.
A decision which left Barca without a goal before half-time and that led to Julian Nagelsmann's side going in two up at the interval.
