England's Anthony Gordon was named as the best player of the Under 21 Euros, awarded the honour by UEFA after his team beat Spain in a thrilling final on Saturday night.
"He has played the whole tournament at a high level, scoring two goals and providing one assist", said UEFA in their statement.
Gordon went from strength to strength in the tournament, after a move to Newcastle United from Everton, that saw him somewhat sidelined in the second half of the season.
UEFA also awarded Gordon's teammate Curtis Jones MVP of the final. The Liverpool player was the creator of the match's only goal, after a Cole Palmer free-kick deflected off of him, sailing into the bottom corner of the goal in the dying seconds of the first half.
A trophyless final for Spain, although they boasted the two players tied for Golden Boot of the tournament: Abel Ruiz and Sergio Gomez, with three goals and two assists in six matches.
