Youngster Emile Smith Rowe was the standout performer as Arsenal held Atletico Madrid to a 1-1 draw in Singapore after 90 minutes.
Unai Emery's men made the stronger start to the game, as Atletico's resilient defence was often tested.
The opening 10 minutes were dominated by Arsenal prospect Reiss Nelson, as he played without fear and often looked dangerous going forward. Despite having the initial upper hand, the 'Gunners' failed to make any of their chances count as Jan Oblak was on fine form.
Oblak, who was replaced by Adán for the second half, made three crucial saves to keep Arsenal at bay. The Slovenian-stopper got down well to deny Lacazette from close range twice in the space of 10 minutes, both efforts at his near post.
An Arsenal goal looked inevitable, however 'Atleti' took the lead against the run of play just before half-time.
Correa played an important role in the goal, easily beating Holding before firing the ball back into Vietto's path. The Atletico man calmly cushioned his header past Leno, who couldn't do anything about it.
Arsenal responded quickly in the second half, with teenager Emile Smith Rowe stealing the limelight with a brilliant goal two minutes after the break. Smith Rowe collected the ball in the middle of the pitch before firing a right-footed shot into the top corner of the net, far out of Antonio Adán's reach.
Despite the bright start, the Spanish giants regained control of the match and dominated the majority of the second half.
After a raft of changes from both teams, the seond half petered out in the Singapore heat, with both teams happy to keep possession and let the game go to penalties.
Adán came to 'Atleti's' rescue saving three of the four penalties that he faced and even scoring one himself. Mkhitaryan, Willock and Nketiah all missed from 12 yards, whereas Hernandez, Molejo and goallkeeper Adán scored theirs to hand Diego Simeone's side the win
