21 matches later, Barcelona won a game by more than one goal

Barcelona have broken the 20-match streak in which they had not won by more than one goal. They had not done so since 19th September 2023, when they beat Antwerp 5-0 in the Champions League.

Lamine Yamal's stoppage-time goal against Osasuna finally broke the jinx that had made them struggle in every game to secure victory.

In that 20-match stretch, the team coached by Xavi Hernandez had won 12 matches, all by the minimum, while drawing four and losing four.

Now, after beating Osasuna in Thursday's semi-final, Barcelona will face Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final. Last season the two met in that match, with a victory for the 'Cules' and a first title for the Catalan coach.
