Zouma is looking less likely to join West Ham and, at the same time, Kounde is getting closer to joining Chelsea. The defender is one of the favourites to enter in the swap deal which will see his compatriot move from Sevilla to Chelsea, but the Hammers had tried to get Zouma. That was because he wanted to stay in the Premier League.
This was revealed by 'Sky Sports', who say that talks over a move to West Ham have broken down. The reason is that Chelsea have made it clear that the footballer's departure is four million pounds more than what is being offered. The offer is around 20 million.
As the option of going to West Ham has been ruled out, the chances of him being sent to Sevilla increase. The agreement would also include a 30 million pound payment, but the player's presence would help reduce the price of the signing.
It had already been leaked that Chelsea would go all out for Kounde even if they could not include Zouma in the deal. That talks with West Ham have failed is something that could happen and it is likely that Chelsea use Zouma to help buy Kounde.
