"I think it's very positive. He has had some very succesful seasons there and he knows the club and its players. They also know him and have a good relationship with him. I think it's perfect", Odegaard declared to the media at Norway's training base.
The talented midfielder also mentioned his hope of returning to the Real Madrid first team under Zidane, who replaced Santiago Solari, and said the switch could be a good thing for his career in the Spanish capital.
"For me it's positive. I know him well and we have a good relationship. He was my manager for a long time, both in the first-team and the reserve team. Odegaard, 20, is enjoying a good season with Vitesse after a relatively unsuccesful spell with Herenveen.
The youngster came to the limelight at a very young age, having made his debut for the Norwegian national side aged just 15, before moving to Real Madrid a year later in 2015.
