Zidane's crown jewel

Real Madrid has done a good part of its homework with the summer holidays just starting and the market in its initial phase. Up to five players have already been confirmed as new Real Madrid players, with Eden Hazard standing out from the crowds. In addition, Rodrygo and Militato's signing had already been agreed upon and Zidane, who wants more, fulfilled some of his aspirations with Mendy and Jovic.

There's been a bit of everything with this year's signings. A group of good and young footballers called to bring some fresh air into a team which was left drowning last season. The aspirations are once again high, especially with the presence of club legend Zidane on the bench. Now, beyond a 'Operation Departure' that will not be simple, Zidane wants the icing on the cake.

And it goes through two names, both compatriots: Pogba or Mbappé. Pogba is certainly closer than the PSG striker. Even 'Mirror' says that the distance separating Old Trafford and the Bernabeu is set at 17 million. Pogba's only current thought is playing for Real Madrid and Zidane, who has repeatedly praised the Frenchman. 

Madrid is taking its time with this signing, conscious that the summer will be long and that the pressure of Pogba is real. United will not play the next Champions League and that is a tremendous downturn for the midfielder, who lived on a roller coaster last season, and even came to be stripped of the captaincy with Mourinho in command.

With the intention of getting Pogba's signing steamrolled, Madrid is waiting to see what may happen to Kylian Mbappé, the club's greatest dream signing. A smile escapes the striker when asked about his possible jump to the Bernabeu, but only he has the key for the signing to take place. The last thing he wants is a confrontation with the Parisian team.

At the Bernabeu, they trust Mbappé, with his father at the heart of the operations, to force his exit and put PSG between a rock and a hard place. He has already been leaving crumbs along the way, but a transfer of this magnitude will require more steps. Pogba or Mbappé, Zidane wants his crown jewel.
