If there is one occasion when the biggest stars in world football can get together, it is the Champions League final. Real Madrid won it against Liverpool at the Stade de France and Saint-Denis became a stage where television productions almost ran out of time to focus on former top footballers.
Zinedine Zidane, who previously coached the 'Merengues' and has celebrated recent UCL triumphs, Fabio Cannavaro, Roberto Carlos -who has an ambassadorial position at the club-, Clarence Seedorf, Mesut Ozil -who shared an image supporting the Spaniards on his social networks-... lots of familiar faces.
All of them appeared in a suit, in smart clothes, except Zidane, who opted for a hooded sweatshirt. Perhaps his aim was not to draw too much attention to himself in an environment where he was aware that, if he was recognised, there would be many interactions with the fans.
Fortunately for him and the stars associated with Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti's side secured victory and their 14th title in their history. A record that has been built with the retired stars who were in Paris.
