Yuri defends Modric and Jorge Molina

Luka Modric and Jorge Molina were sent off in their corresponding matches for stepping on another players ankle, The willfulness of the players in the action put the new rule imposed by the Technical Referee Committee (CTA) in play, which does not mean that it is strong.

According to Maria Luisa Villa, a member of the CTA comitee, all kicks from behind to the Achilles heel will be punished with a red card. 

Yuri Berchiche had his say about this new rule. "It is dangerous and whenever there is an injury involved, you have to assess whether it is a red or not ", stated the Athletic footballer.

In reference to the sending off of Modric and Molina, Yuri said: "being who they are, we know that they are not aggressive. They should take a little more care, be a little more tactful. It's a new rule and we have to accept it."
