Leicester took a very early lead at home to Arsenal and they did so thanks to a goal from the Belgian Youri Tielemans. Good pressure from Rodgers' men led to mistakes by Xhaka and Willian.
The two of them lost the ball on the left flank when they should have just cleared it and the Foxes punished them. Tielemans drove the ball into the box, Xhaka was unable to stop him and the former Anderlecht man beat Leno with a shot across the keeper.
The goal was courtesy of yet another error by Xhaka and he received lots of criticism on social media. Willian, Elneny and Pablo Mari did not cover themselves in glory in either.
Shortly after the goal, Arsenal could have levelled from the penalty spot, but the VAR took it away as the foul was deemed to be outside the area.
Arsenal ended up going into the break in front though. David Luiz on 39 minutes and then Lacazette from a VAR penalty put the Gunners 1-2 up.
