Xavi wants Barca to get act together for Oriol Romeu

After a well-deserved holiday, Barca will return to work on Monday. The Spaniards will begin pre-season work without a replacement for Busquets, who has ended his time at the club and will join the Inter Miami project.

Xavi, who has been on the sporting directorate's back for some time, has asked them to sort the issue of a replacement once and for all. The likes of Zubimendi or Parejo, among others, have been mentioned... but the most talked about is Oriol Romeu, forged in Barca's academy.

The midfielder was not the first choice, but the economic situation the club is going through has made him a priority. For this reason, the Catalans will intensify attempts to progress with Girona this Monday to try to close his signing in the next week, according to 'Marca'.

The outlet points out that Xavi wants to have him for the club's pre-season tour of the United States (from 19 July to 1 August). Therefore, Barca will have to get their act together and make a better offer or bring a player in the equation. It's worth noting that Oriol Romeu's clause is 10 million.
