Xavi to stay at Barca until 2025

Turn of events at FC Barcelona. After insisting that he was leaving the club at the end of the season, journalist Fernando Polo announced on Wednesday that Xavi Hernandez will remain on Barcelona's bench until 2025.

The coach will thus fulfil the contract he had agreed. In addition, Joan Laporta will appear this Thursday in the 'Cule' club's media to give explanations on the matter, according to the aforementioned source. It will not be a press conference.

A bombshell went off during the summit meeting of the Barcelona board of directors with Xavi Hernandez at the 'Cule' president's home. All this in the presence of the sporting director, Deco, with whom they also finalised the details of the sporting planning.

On Wednesday, 'RAC1' reported that most of the doubts were about the coaching staff. Allegedly, one of the conditions of the entity is the appearance of Domenech Torrent, who was assistant to Pep Guardiola in Barcelona.

Pending future developments, Barcelona want to keep Xavi Hernandez to fulfil the agreed contract. The summit with the coach lasted more than two hours at Joan Laporta's home, where Bojan Krkic, the link with 'La Masia', was also present.
