Xavi explained the substitutions: "Pique has some discomfort"

Three usual starters are rested for the match against Galatasaray. Xavi Hernandez decided to leave out Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquets and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Barca coach went on 'Movistar' just before the game against the Turkish side, and it was there where he explained why he has made these changes in the Europa League.

"It's a question of substitutions. Pique feels uncomfortable. Busquets is getting a lot of minutes and we have a lot of alternatives," said Xavi ahead of the first leg of the last 16.

He also spoke about the composition of the starting eleven: "Memphis starts on the left and Ferran as a back nine, but they can be interchanged. They have players with experience in Europe," he said.
