FC Barcelona's board are rubbing their hands together at the business it plans to do with Francisco Trincao. Although Barca's aim was that Wolves would execute the purchase option in the loan, the 'culés' will earn six million euros due to a clause imposed by the Catalan club.
According to the BBC, if the English club had kept the Portuguese winger, the amount of compensation owed would be deducted from the final purchase of the player. By allowing the Portuguese player to return to Barcelona, Wolves will have to pay those six million euros on loan. In addition, the English side will keep 20% of a future transfer fee of the winger.
As of today, Barca want to sell Trincao. In recent days, according to 'Marca', Barça have been negotiating the striker's departure to Sporting Portugal.
The downside for the Spanish club is that Lisbon want for a season-long loan with an option to buy. However, the same media reports that there is also no agreement on the final price if they decide to acquire the player's services permanently once the loan is over. We will have to wait and see how the market changes in the next few days to know the future of the 22 year-old.
