Luis Alberto went from renewing his contract with Lazio to being sold in just 8 months. The player explained that his plan was to stay there, but he started to see things he didn't like and opted to try his luck in Qatar.

“Why did I leave? Tell me someone who left Lazio well...”, commented the midfielder in statements collected by ‘AS’. “It's a shame because then you see other teams that behave differently: at least they make you say goodbye or give a press conference,” he continued.

Luis Alberto explained how his departure came about: “I had just renewed my contract. For me, the intention was to stay for life, but I didn't want to stay in a place where I didn't see anything fair”.

“I wanted to feel calmer on a footballing level,” he added. For this reason, he finally decided to pack his bags and leave Lazio, a club to which a few months after his departure he dedicates these words that will not please the fans at all.
