Without Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, Chris Coleman's side are looking to cement the second spot in the last two fixtures of their qualifying campaign. Derby playmaker Tom Lawrence edged his team closer to Russia with a thumping strike.

The 23-year-old received the ball with his back to the goal, before swivelling and unleashing a fierce effort into the bottom far corner.

Georgia keeper Loria got a slight touch but could do nothing to keep out the powerful strike. Coleman breathed a huge sigh of relief as the Welsh players, banch and fans celebrated.
