Negotiations usually stop in the summer when the Euros are on as footballers are focussed on their national teams. That is what happened with Kral and West Ham United. The Hammers have been interested in him for a while, but, while he was playing in six international matches, two of them friendlies, talks came to a halt.
'Football Insider' reports that the English club are planning to resume talks as soon as possible. Initially, there was talk of an offer of 20 million euros. It is quite likely that new offers will be more than that amount. Kral has a contract with Spartak Moscow until 2024 and he has time to decide.
Last season, the midfielder had his most important season since he became a professional. He made 30 appearances in the Russian League, 29 of them as a starter. He ended up showing his worth as an assists man for the first time. He gave five assists last term, a career best.
If West Ham manage to sign him, they will get a footballer with a bright future although without experience in any of the big five leagues. It would be interesting to follow him to see how he adapts to the Premier League. He is one of the Czech Republic's brightest young talents.
