Arsene Wenger has heaped praise on Arsenal newboy Cohen Bramall and believes the youngster has what it takes to follow in the footsteps of former Gunners left-back Ashley Cole.
Bramall, 20, has signed a two-year deal with Wenger’s side after signing from non-league side Hednesford Town for a fee in the region of £40,000.
He spent two days on trial at the club in December and did enough to impress the watchful eye of Wenger, who invited him to take part in a first team training session.
“Cohen Brammal has signed for us” Wenger told beINSPORTS.
“He’s an exceptional physical talent. I don’t think he’s ready, today, to play in Premier League but he has similarities to a young Ashley Cole."
Bramall is expected to go straight into Arsenal's under-23 squad, where he will compete for a place at left-back with Marc Bola.
