"We've trained little, we're going to be much better the rest of the season"

Rodrygo Goes, Real Madrid's Brazilian player, said on Wednesday, after his team's 2-0 win over Atalanta in the final of the European Super Cup, that he does "the same" with Kylian Mbappe as he does with Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior. He also stressed that as the games go by, the players up top will be "much better for the rest of the season".

Asked how he links with Kylian Mbappe on the pitch, he replied that he play with him in the same way as he did last season with other teammates: "I think the same as I did with Vini and Jude. Now one more has arrived, one of the best in the world is with us now too. The coach asks us to change positions a lot, not to stand still. They played one on one all over the pitch and we had to move," Rodrygo told 'Movistar +'.

"We have trained little, but we are all willing to be ready as soon as possible. We have trained well, we are improving. We are still going to be much better for the rest of the season. The pitch was a bit dry and in the second one better because it was wetter, it was another game. We are doing well. We're going to keep training to improve and it's a pleasure to be in this team," he added.

Finally, he said he was "very happy" to have won the first title of the season: "It's what we wanted, to start like this, with titles. That gives us a lot of confidence for the rest of the season, which we know is going to be very long. I'm happy," he concluded.
