Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann said on Sunday, after the 4-3 win over Sevilla, that his team "lacked the support of those behind the goal", in reference to the ‘Frente Atletico’ and the supporters' stand, whom he said they “miss”.
"We are fine. It was hard for us to get into the game. Then we had two chances and two goals. We lacked the support of those behind the goal (currently on strike), who normally push us and make it less difficult for us. We missed them. But, in the end, with hard work, those who came into the game gave us new energy and, in the end, we were able to come back and win," he told “Movistar” at the end of the game at the Metropolitano.
"We are a team and a dressing room all united, all on the same path. And we see it every time new people come on in the 60th or 70th minute: they change the game and, today, it happened again. It's the path to follow to dream big,’ said Griezmann, whose team is now fully in contention for La Liga title.
"We'll try to win everything we have left. We know there are going to be difficult moments, we are united and we will keep fighting," he concluded.
