Many things have been written about the coronavirus, but there is always an opportunity for even stranger things to be written.
After it was announced that two more Watford players were self isolating, the Hornets were criticised on Twitter by some fans for trying to prevent Project Restart from happening. That way, they would avoid relegation.
"We've had a couple more people who have to be in isolation because they've been in close contact with people who have tested positive, even though their own result came back negative. The rest decided not to come," said Nigel Pearson, the Watford boss.
On social media, the club were accused of deliberately testing positive so that the Premier League would not be able to resume. That way, they would avoid relegation. Christian Kabasele hit back at the accusations.
"Let me explain our tactic: we are doing one injection of COVID-19 once a week. We draw the player/member of staff who get it like this we are sure that we never play again and avoid relegation," Kabasele sarcastically wrote on Twitter.
