Villarreal versus Real Madrid Copa del Rey date confirmed

Some of the Copa del Rey last 16 games still did not have a date and kick-off time. Two of them have now been confirmed after the first semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup. 

Valencia will make the trip to play second tier Sporting Gijon on Wednesday 18th January at 19:00 CET. The match will be broadcast by 'Movistar+'. 

Real Madrid's game will take place the following day. 'Los Blancos' will visit Villarreal on Thursday 19th January at 21:00 CET at the refurbished Estadio de la Ceramica. The contest will be show on free channel 'TVE' in Spain. 

The matches not involving teams not in the Super Cup had their kick-off times revealed on Saturday. Real Sociedad will entertain Mallorca on Tuesday (19:00) while Alaves will also play Sevilla (21:00). The following day sees Athletic Bilbao play Espanyol (20:00) and Levante host Atletico Madrid (21:00).

There are still two matches without a date and kick-off time confirmed. Barcelona and Real Betis will play in the second semi-final of the Super Cup and after that fixture, Ceuta versus Barca and Betis against Osasuna will also have a date and kick-off time.
